Jordan Pickford’s son appears to be following in his father’s footsteps, having received an invitation to train with Manchester City’s academy. Six-year-old Arlo, the Everton and England goalkeeper’s eldest child, seems to have inherited his father's passion for football and is already making a name for himself as a budding young talent.
Jordan Pickford’s Son Could Join Manchester City After Academy Invitation

The international No.1 recently took Arlo to the Stadium of Light to witness his boyhood club Sunderland secure a place in the Championship play-off final following their victory over Coventry last Thursday. Arlo is also set to walk out alongside his father as a mascot during Everton’s penultimate Premier League fixture of the season against Southampton at Goodison Park.
Speaking about his son’s progress, Pickford said:
"My eldest son loves football. He's a keeper. He won a cup final at the weekend and a tournament the week before.
"He trains at City. He loves it. It’s one of those situations where I just let him enjoy it. I’ll go out in the garden with him and kick the ball around. It’s brilliant."
"He’s six, so it’s a great age—he’s learning, developing. He loves watching me and is always glued to the team. He’s so invested in it."
"My dad reckons my son is better than I was at six—but we’ll see how good he is when he’s 31!"
With Arlo already training at one of the most elite youth academies in the country, only time will tell if he can emulate—or even surpass—his father’s success between the posts.
