Former Manchester United and Manchester City Football Star Carlos Tevez Hospitalized

Former football star Carlos Tevez, who notably played for both Manchester United and Manchester City, has been hospitalized following complaints of chest pains.

The 40-year-old, known for his stints at the top-flight English clubs, spent the night at a clinic in Buenos Aires' upscale San Isidro neighborhood after seeking medical attention. Further tests are scheduled for him today at another nearby hospital.

Tevez, currently managing top-flight Argentinian side Independiente, had his hospital admission confirmed by the club, which stated that the initial results were "satisfactory." While reports suggest the issues may be stress-related, Tevez has yet to make an official statement on the matter.

Initially denying Tevez's hospitalization, Independiente later confirmed it, stating, "Our coach, Carlos Tevez, went to the La Trinidad Hospital in San Isidro with chest pain. They carried out the corresponding tests and they were satisfactory. Today he will continue with a series of tests scheduled in advance as part of a general check-up."

Tevez will remain hospitalized as a precaution until further tests are completed. It remains uncertain if he will be able to attend the club's scheduled training session later today.

The hospital where Tevez will undergo additional tests has been identified as the Finochietto Hospital in Buenos Aires. Tevez, known to have high blood pressure, regularly undergoes medical check-ups.

Speculation about his future as Independiente coach arose after he suspended a press conference following the club's recent elimination from a cup competition.

Former teammate Wayne Rooney praised Tevez in February, citing him as the footballer he most enjoyed playing with during his career. Tevez and Rooney played together between 2007 and 2009 before Tevez joined Manchester City, United's rivals. During Tevez's tenure at United, the club won the Premier League title twice, the Champions League in 2008, and the League Cup in 2009.
