We've found that when women take the lead, audiences are drawn in.

Reese Witherspoon has announced a collaboration with Netflix to produce a Formula 1 show titled F1 Academy through her production company Hello Sunshine. The documentary series will focus on the female-only racing series and is slated for release in 2025.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Witherspoon expressed excitement about showcasing women in motorsport and changing the narrative through the F1 Academy docuseries, led by managing director Susie Wolff, a former professional racing driver.

Wolff highlighted the series as a platform to drive female participation in motorsport globally, aiming to inspire and empower the next generation of young women. The partnership with Netflix underscores the growing demand and visibility for women's sport.

In addition to this project, Witherspoon hinted at upcoming ventures, including a third season of Big Little Lies and developments for a Legally Blonde TV show spin-off and movie sequel, advocating for Jennifer Coolidge's return to the franchise.
