Nashville is expected to be awarded its first-ever Super Bowl LXIV when NFL owners meet this week, according to multiple reports.

The landmark event is projected to take place in February 2030 at the new home stadium of the Tennessee Titans, which is currently under construction along the Cumberland River.

NFL owners are gathering in Orlando on Tuesday and Wednesday, with formal approval of Nashville as the host city widely anticipated during the meetings.

Should the decision be confirmed, it would mark the first time the Super Bowl has been staged in Nashville, further cementing the city’s growing reputation as a major sporting destination in the United States.

Nashville previously demonstrated its ability to host large-scale NFL events when it attracted record-breaking crowds for the 2019 NFL Draft.

At the time, the event set a new attendance record and showcased the city’s appeal to travelling supporters and league officials alike.

The new Nissan Stadium is expected to play a key role in securing the event.

The $2.1 billion stadium will be a fully enclosed, state-of-the-art venue with a seating capacity of 60,000 and a retractable roof.

Construction is progressing with the stadium currently scheduled to open by February 2027.

In recent years, the NFL has increasingly favoured newly built stadiums when selecting Super Bowl host venues.

Cities such as Detroit, Minneapolis and East Rutherford have all entered the traditional warm-weather hosting rotation following the construction of modern stadium facilities.

Upcoming Super Bowl Host Cities Confirmed

The NFL has already confirmed several upcoming Super Bowl locations over the next few years.

SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will host the championship game for a second time in February 2027.

Atlanta is scheduled to stage the event in 2028, while Las Vegas was officially announced earlier this year as the host city for the 2029 Super Bowl following the success of events held at Allegiant Stadium.

Nashville now appears poised to join that growing list of modern Super Bowl destinations with what would be a historic first for the city and the state of Tennessee.
