Forest Fans Across London, Nottinghamshire, And Nottingham City Were Cheering In Celebration As Forest Re-Enter The Premier League.

Nottingham Forest have won the Championship Play-Off Final at Empire/Wembley Stadium in London against Huddersfield Town, with a final score of 1-0 in favour of the Reds.

This isn't just another big win for Forest or Steve Cooper, this victory ends a 23 year long Premier League drought for the East Midlands football club, starting all the way back in May of 1999.

Not since the days of the late Brian Clough OBE have Forest fans had it so good, as many took to the streets of London and Nottingham City Centre to relish in the moment.

But which one of Cooper's Reds scored the goal that ended the drought?

None!

Huddersfield's Levi Colwill had scored an own goal late into the first half, after trying to deflect James Garner's shot on the goal.

So technically speaking, Forest have still not scored a goal at Wembley.

Many have credited Steve Cooper with this turn around from the club facing relegation to League 1 with rivals Derby County, to returning the club to the Premier League.

His predecessor, Chris Hughton, was sacked last September following years of losses and threats of relegation for the once and now great football club.
