Vivianne Miedema has been awarded the Etihad Player of the Month for March.
Miedema Named Etihad Player of the Month for March

This marks the second time the Netherlands international has claimed the prestigious award, having secured 53% of the vote from a total of nearly 5,000 submissions, edging out her teammates.
The versatile forward featured in all eight of the team's matches throughout the 31 days of March and made a significant impact from the outset, scoring in the 2-1 victory over Spurs.
Miedema opened the scoring by meeting a precise cross from Aoba Fujino on the right, powering a header into the back of the net, before Fujino struck the winner at Brisbane Road.
Seven days later, Miedema turned provider in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa, setting up Jess Park to score our second goal, securing our place in the FA Women's Cup semi-finals.
However, it was her standout performance against Chelsea in the first leg of our Champions League quarter-final at the Joie Stadium that truly caught the eye.
Introduced at half-time, Miedema broke the deadlock with a sharp poacher’s instinct, lifting the ball into the roof of the net after Laia Aleixandri’s powerful header struck the crossbar.
She then added a second in the dying moments, collecting a pass from Kerolin Nicoli and drilling a low shot into the bottom corner, handing Chelsea their first defeat of the season.
In addition to her Etihad Player of the Month award, Miedema's performances also earned her a nomination for the WSL Player of the Month prize.
Congratulations to Vivianne on being named Etihad Player of the Month for the second time!
