Ellie Kildunne celebrated her 50th cap in style, scoring a hat-trick of tries as England took another significant step towards retaining the Guinness Women’s Six Nations title with a resounding 67-12 victory over Wales in Cardiff.

The Red Roses full-back completed her treble in just eight second-half minutes as England stormed to victory at the Principality Stadium, securing their 10th consecutive win against Wales.

Despite conceding an early try, England quickly reasserted their dominance, ultimately surpassing the winning margin achieved by their male counterparts at the same venue two weeks earlier.

This triumph marked England’s 31st consecutive Six Nations win – and their 22nd victory against all opponents – with the outcome effectively settled early on. Number eight Maddie Feaunati crossed twice, while centre Megan Jones and prop Sarah Bern also touched down. Fly-half Zoe Harrison added three conversions to give England a commanding lead.

Kildunne then stole the spotlight, running in three tries in front of a record-breaking Welsh women’s home crowd of 21,186. Harrison slotted three more conversions as Abby Dow (2) and Abi Burton (2) also contributed to England’s impressive tally.

Wales managed tries through prop Jenni Scoble and flanker Kate Williams, with scrum-half Keira Bevan converting one, but they were ultimately outclassed as England marched on.

Wales started brightly and stunned England with a seventh-minute try after Harrison fumbled behind her own line, conceding an attacking scrum. The hosts capitalised, with Scoble powering over from close range and Bevan adding the extras.

However, England’s response was swift and ruthless. Within three minutes, Feaunati broke clear from a lineout to score, followed by a sensational solo effort from Cardiff-born Jones. Harrison converted both, and England never looked back.

Bern then crashed over for England’s third try, with Harrison again on target, as the Red Roses stormed past 20 points within the opening quarter. A brilliant attacking move saw Dow cross the line, but the try was ruled out for a forward pass from Kildunne.

Undeterred, England secured their bonus point shortly after, as Feaunati grabbed her second try to put the visitors firmly in control.

Despite showing flashes of attacking promise, Wales struggled to breach England’s formidable defence and trailed by 19 points at half-time.

The second half was a one-sided affair, with Kildunne touching down to stretch England’s lead beyond 25 points by the third quarter.

The full-back then completed her hat-trick, cementing England’s dominance as the tries continued to flow. Further scores saw the Red Roses surpass 60 points, leaving no doubt about their superiority.

England remain firmly on course for yet another Six Nations title, while Wales will look to regroup after a humbling defeat.
