Martí Cifuentes expressed his disappointment after Queens Park Rangers suffered a defeat against Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium.
Cifuentes Laments QPR’s Poor Performance Following Defeat

Goals from Bae Jun-Ho, Junior Tchamadeu, and Million Manhoef gave the Potters a commanding three-goal lead by the hour mark, with Rangers forward Yang Min-Hyoek’s 78th-minute strike offering little consolation.
The result extended QPR’s winless run to six matches, and Cifuentes did not hold back in his assessment of the performance.
“It was definitely not good enough—a really poor performance, and that is very disappointing because we had 15 days to prepare for this game,” he told qpr.co.uk.
“We spoke a lot about urgency, about the level of intensity, but we were nowhere near it.
“The level today was poor in every aspect. That is not the standard we are used to, and I think all the players know that.
“It is easy to analyse individual situations, but the overall performance was simply not good enough.
“Stoke were better than us, and that is the reality.”
QPR’s recent slump has seen them slip to 15th in the table, seven points clear of the relegation zone. However, Cifuentes remains confident that his side can finish the season strongly.
“I have great belief in my players. We need to ensure we perform better,” he added.
“We need to show that we are good enough to win more matches.
“We must stay united, and everyone needs to understand how crucial the coming weeks are—we are going to need every single player.”
QPR will next host Cardiff City at Loftus Road next weekend, and defender Morgan Fox has called for an immediate response following their struggles in Staffordshire.
Fox said: “It is always a tough place to come, and you have to be ready for the challenge. We were not at the races in the first half.
“We just were not switched on at all, and we got punished. The mood in the dressing room is low, but we do not have time to dwell on it.
“We have seven games left, another full week of training before the next one, and we have to pick ourselves up and respond.”
