The fixture schedule for the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign has been finalised.

Ireland have been drawn in Group F, alongside either Portugal or Denmark, as well as Hungary and Armenia, in a four-team group. The qualifying campaign is set to commence in September 2025.
It has been confirmed that Ireland will begin their bid to qualify for the finals, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a home match against Hungary on Saturday, 6th September. The match will kick off at 7:45pm at the Aviva Stadium. Following this, Ireland will travel to Armenia on Tuesday, 9th September, with the match scheduled to begin at 5:00pm Irish time.
In October, Heimir Hallgrímsson’s side will travel to either Portugal or Denmark on Saturday, 11th October, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm Irish time. They will then return to Dublin to host Armenia on Tuesday, 14th October, at 7:45pm.
Ireland’s qualifying campaign will conclude in November 2025. They will face either Portugal or Denmark at home on Thursday, 13th November, at 7:45pm, before their final group match against Hungary on Sunday, 16th November, with a 2:00pm kick-off (Irish time).
