Celtic have secured another financial boost from UEFA following their Champions League draw against Club Brugge.
How Much Have Celtic Earned from Their Champions League Draw?
Daizen Maeda’s second-half strike salvaged a point for Celtic in the league phase, compensating for Cameron Carter-Vickers’ unfortunate own goal in the first half.
The draw not only bolsters Celtic’s chances of progressing to the knockout stages but also entitles them to a bonus payment from UEFA. Celtic earned €700,000 for the draw against Club Brugge, a standard fee awarded to all clubs for drawn matches in the league phase of Europe’s elite competition.
Had Celtic managed a win, they would have earned €2.1 million, matching the amount they received for victories over Slovan Bratislava and RB Leipzig earlier in the campaign.
The draw against Atalanta also earned the club another €700,000. Before the group stage commenced, Celtic had already banked €18.62 million, courtesy of their participation in the Champions League.
