Christian Pulisic continued his brilliant start to the season on Tuesday, scoring directly from a corner in AC Milan’s UEFA Champions League match against Belgium’s Club Brugge.

The United States international opened the scoring in the 34th minute at the San Siro, delivering an in-swinging corner from the left which baffled both the goalkeeper and defenders. The ball evaded everyone before bouncing into the net, despite a desperate attempt to clear it off the line.

The goal marked the first 'Olimpico' of Pulisic's career and brought his tally to 10 goal contributions in his last 10 appearances for both club and country. It was also the 26-year-old’s second goal in three Champions League matches this season, having scored in Milan’s opening defeat to Liverpool last month.

In Serie A, Pulisic has netted five goals and provided three assists in eight games so far this season. He also recorded an assist in Mauricio Pochettino's first match as head coach of the USMNT, against Panama earlier this month.

Just six minutes after Pulisic's goal, Brugge were reduced to 10 men when Raphael Onyedika received a straight red card.
