Eminem has announced his 12th studio album, titled "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)," with a true-crime-inspired trailer. The album promises to delve into darker themes, reflecting Eminem's signature style. Fans can expect an intense and thought-provoking project from the acclaimed rapper.

Just before Eminem took the stage in Detroit to kick off the NFL Draft, he announced his 12th studio album titled "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)." The teaser, aired before the draft coverage on ESPN, featured a true-crime style promo reminiscent of 80s and 90s crime series like Unsolved Mysteries.

In the teaser, a trench-coat wearing announcer presented Slim Shady as a "blonde anti-hero" with no shortage of enemies due to his controversial lyrics and antics. The promo included an interview with 50 Cent, who referred to Slim Shady as a psychopath.

The teaser concluded with a mysterious interviewee questioning who killed Slim Shady, followed by gruesome crime scene images showing Slim lying on a car with a knife in his chest. The disguised interviewee was later revealed to be Eminem himself.

While the album's release date remains unspecified, fans can pre-save the album on Spotify or pre-add it on Apple Music via Eminem's website. This upcoming album will be Eminem's first since "Music to be Murdered By," released in January 2020.

The announcement of Eminem's new album aligns with recent hints from Dr. Dre, who confirmed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that Eminem is working on an album set to release this year. Dr. Dre praised the upcoming album, stating it features his production and promising it will be "fire."
