He failed to show up in court, leading police to issue an arrest warrant and appeal for public information on his whereabouts.

Former Home and Away star Orpheus Pledger, who was wanted on a warrant after he failed to appear at a Melbourne court, has been arrested after a three-day police manhunt in Australia.

Pledger faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Authorities say he is facing four charges for allegedly assaulting a woman.

But the 30-year-old actor was granted bail to undergo a court-ordered medical assessment, on the strict condition that he return the following day.

When Pledger failed to show up in court, Victoria Police issued a warrant for his arrest and called on the community to help locate him.

The actor was detained in Melbourne on Thursday, Victoria Police said. They did not offer further details.

Pledger is due to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in May.

His manager, Craig McMahon, told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper that he had not been in contact with his client this week but that he had been shocked by the assault allegations.

McMahon also said Pledger had been struggling with mental health issues.

The actor has appeared on Australian television shows for over two decades.

Pledger is known for his role as the fictional character Mason Morgan in Home and Away. He joined the cast of the movie in 2016 and played Mason Morgan for three years before the character was killed off.

Earlier in his career, Pledger played a role on the popular soap opera Neighbours. He also appeared in popular TV shows Silversun and CrashBurn.
