Türkiye Marks NATO’s 77th Anniversary, Reaffirms Pivotal Role in Alliance

Türkiye has commemorated the 77th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), underlining its historic and ongoing role within the alliance. In a statement released on Saturday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry highlighted that Türkiye has been an active member of NATO since 1952 and has consistently maintained a leading role in promoting collective security across the Euro-Atlantic region. The ministry emphasized that Türkiye approaches security with a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective, reflecting its commitment to both regional stability and broader alliance objectives.
According to the statement, Türkiye’s contributions to NATO are substantial and multifaceted.
