The Ibrox side were 2–0 down at half-time following goals from Neto Borges and Dael Fry for the hosts.
Danilo pulled one back before Curtis struck from close range in the 79th minute to level the scores.
The winger has now scored in back-to-back matches, having also found the net in Rangers’ 2–0 UEFA Champions League qualifying victory over Panathinaikos.
Martin was full of admiration for the 18-year-old’s performance at the Riverside Stadium, describing him as a "really good learner".
“Yeah, he showed good instinct today,” said the Rangers boss.
“He got better on Tuesday as the game went on, and he showed some good stuff today — some good timing, some good bits. So, just a really good learner.
“I thought Nico [Raskin] was brilliant next to him today as well. That’s the best Nico has played since we arrived, so I’m really pleased with his contribution.
“Having Max Aarons and Nico on his side of the pitch will definitely help Findlay. He just needs to keep listening and keep learning.
“Good instinct today, good character, good attitude. As long as he keeps doing that, he’ll be fine.”
