Donetsk Regional Head Pavlo Kyrylenko Described The Act As: "Pure Terrorism".

The Ukrainian city of Slovyansk in the contested Donetsk province located in Ukraine's Donbas region, was hit by Russian howitzers killing two and injuring seven.

The shells rained down over the city and struck a market and some homes, whilst civilians were going about their day.

Russia continues to deny they're killing civilians.

Vladimir Putin's defeat at the Battle of Kiev has made the Russian President change his battle strategy, focusing on the Pro-Russian separatist states in the Donbas.

His goal is to cut off Ukraine's manufacturing and industrial capabilities, which would in theory starve the domestic industry in the country.

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has commented that: “What factories or steel mills the Russians don't shell to oblivion, have been repurposed by Putin to aid his war effort and genocide of the Ukrainian people, my people.

This cannot be allowed to happen, even if it means that we'll have to rebuild the iron works, steel mills, and weapons factories”.

The Ukrainian President has admitted to trying to use scorched earth tactics, in order to prevent Russian Soldiers using their own industry against them.

Scorched earth is a doctrine pioneered by the Scythians (Ancestors of modern day Ukrainians and Russians) in their war against King Darius the Great of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, during the Persian King's European Campaign in 531 BC.

Which is a tactic used by retreating armies to deny their enemies any land that may be used for growing food or setting up a base of operations.

The tactic has also been used by various world powers in multiple wars over the course of history.

Some of which include the Boer Wars, WW2, Gulf War, War on Terror, Rhodesian Bush War, Russian Revolution, American Civil War, the Roman Conquest of Germania, Soviet Intervention in Communist Afghanistan, and many more.

The Regional Head of Donetsk, Pavlo Kyrylenko, stated: “This is pure terrorism, a needless massacre of innocent civilians, and a war crime”.
