Manchester United facing challenges of keeping Cristiano

Manchester United continue to face the challenge of keeping their Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo from leaving the club. There were reports that the Manchester United forward told the club management that he is ready to leave if he finds a good offer. According to reports from various sports handles like ESPN.com, the Portuguese forward who joined the club last season wants to play Champions League football but Manchester United did not qualify for next season's UCL.

A well-known sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Cristiano Ronaldo will be missing the return to training on Monday due to some family reasons. He stated this in a post he made on his official Facebook page. According to Fabrizio, Ronaldo has explained to the club and its management that he won't be returning to training as earlier planned. The club has accepted the explanation from the Portuguese captain and his camp.

The club has insisted that Ronaldo is not for sale because he is part of the Man Utd project for the 2022/2023 season. Fabrizio noted that the agent of the footballer, Jorge Mendes will explore options to find a new club for him but no agreement has been reached as of now.
