On 1st July 2022, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) announce that it has inaugurated new benefits for members who are covered in any of their schemes.

The newly added benefits will give new opportunities for NHIF members to access quality and essential care services.

The new scheme Supa Cover guarantees their members extensive outpatient services, inpatient, maternity, surgical packages, dialysis packages, radiology imaging services, mental and behavioral health, oncology, emergency road evacuation and overseas benefits.

The scehem offers coverage for all surgical procedures including transplants, anesthetist fees, nursing care, bed charges and medication during hospital stay and discharge.

The outpatient service will allow members enrolled in the scheme to have consultations with medical practitioners, laboratory investigations, day procedures, drug and dispensation, health education, rehabilitation and physiotherapy services.

The scheme is designed to help fight against fraud, wastage and abuse.

Beneficiaries can access the services at any of their enrolled facilities countrywide.

Members can confirm and/or change their facilities by dialing *155#. Members can also download the mobile application, My NHIF App. Members can also check the status of the registration through the website.
