The Two Spies Were Executed After Being Arrested Over Encrypted Messages Sent By Them Back To Tel Aviv Detailing HAMAS Tactics And Plans To Cause Further Misery For Tel Aviv
IDF Spies Killed By HAMAS
A pair of Israel Defense Force (IDF) spies sent to infiltrate the Palestinian militant group HAMAS along with three others have been executed, the first series of public executions of Israeli spies carried out by HAMAS in the Gaza Strip since the 6th of April of 2017, when three middle aged spies were convicted and hung after HAMAS intercepted and decrypted several communication logs which showed they were spies for the IDF following months of ambiguity.
The two men, who were only identified by their age and initials were captured in two separate years, with one being arrested in 2009 and the other being detained eight years later in 2015, both being executed after being found guilty by a Gaza court of Espionage, Colluding with Israel, Crimes against the Palestinian people, and other charges Tel Aviv have called: "False and conjured by HAMAS to rally dwindling support".
One of those also executed today was a policeman who murdered his father-in-law and a 13 year old girl following a domestic dispute, which led to protests in Beit Lahia in July of 2021.
Tensions between Israel and Palestine over the Gaza Strip isn't anything new, as following the 1967 war, the Israeli Army occupied Gaza and encouraged tens of thousands of Jewish settlers to the area, both of which weren't reversed until 2005 which caused Zionist protests in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and the Jewish community in Gaza.
Amnesty International have called the public executions: "Something which should be consigned to the history books, permanently, it is unacceptable in the modern world for people, guilty or otherwise, to be killed in the streets with humility instead of behind closed doors with dignity".
