Ukraine has raised alarm after the U.S. unexpectedly halted key weapons shipments, including Patriot missiles, amid escalating Russian attacks, prompting fears of increased vulnerability and diplomatic tension.

Ukraine has voiced serious concern and confusion following an abrupt decision by the United States to suspend the delivery of several key weapons systems, including the critical Patriot air defence missiles, at a time when Russian aerial assaults are intensifying across the country.

Ukrainian officials confirmed they were not notified in advance of the decision, prompting Kyiv to summon the top U.S. diplomat in the capital for urgent clarification. The sudden suspension has sparked fears of increased vulnerability to Russia’s growing barrage of missile and drone attacks, particularly in urban centres and frontline regions.

President Volodymyr Zelensky underscored the gravity of the situation in a public address, warning that continued American military support remains essential for Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against ongoing aggression.
