Kim Kardashian testified before a Paris court on Tuesday in the trial of a gang accused of stealing jewelry worth millions from her at gunpoint in a hotel room.

In her testimony, Kardashian shared the traumatic experience, saying, "I absolutely thought I was going to die." She explained that she feared for her life and thought about how her sister would walk in to find her dead and carry that image with her forever.

The robbery occurred in 2016 while Kardashian was attending Paris Fashion Week. She described how the suspects, dressed in police uniforms, entered her hotel room in the middle of the night and demanded she hand over her jewelry. The thieves tied her up using duct tape and zip ties before making off with her valuables, including a $4 million engagement ring.

At one point, Kardashian feared she would be sexually assaulted as the robbers threw her on the bed and grabbed her leg. However, she said the robbers ultimately tied her up and closed her legs instead. She emphasized that despite being dragged into another room and thrown to the floor, she was not physically struck.

Kardashian revealed that the experience drastically altered how she felt about safety at home, explaining that she now employs up to six security guards for protection.

The suspects, all part of a crime ring, tracked Kardashian's movements through her Instagram posts, according to French authorities. The trial has generated significant media attention, with crowds gathering outside the Paris courthouse.

The 10 suspects, aged between 60 and 70, have been referred to as the "grandpa gang" by the French media. Five of them are facing charges of armed robbery and kidnapping, while others are accused of being accomplices. Two of the defendants have confessed to being at the scene, while three have pleaded not guilty.

Despite extensive efforts, most of the stolen jewelry, including the $4 million engagement ring, remains missing.
