President Tinubu visits Anambra to commission key Soludo-led projects and meet with state stakeholders.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri, Anambra State, for an official visit. The president touched down aboard a Nigerian Air Force Airbus at approximately 12:17 p.m., accompanied by his entourage, which included the National Security Adviser, Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu, among other dignitaries.

Dressed in traditional Akwete Igbo fabric with a red cap, President Tinubu proceeded directly to the ceremonial podium, where the Nigerian national anthem was performed. He was received at the airport by Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo; the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim; members of the Anambra State House of Assembly; and other top officials and dignitaries from the state.

Following a formal military reception that included a gun salute from personnel of the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force, the president entered an official vehicle alongside Governor Soludo. He was then driven to the locations scheduled for his engagements during the visit.

The main purpose of President Tinubu’s visit is to commission several landmark projects completed by the administration of Governor Soludo. Among these projects are the newly constructed Anambra State Government House, the Solution Fun City, the newly built Governor’s Lodge—the first in 34 years—and the renovated House of Assembly complex.

In a statement issued on Thursday by Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, it was revealed that the president’s itinerary also includes a high-level town hall meeting with key stakeholders from across Anambra State. This meeting is scheduled to take place at the newly refurbished Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.

Dr. Obiogbolu also advised political party members to refrain from wearing party uniforms to the event venue, emphasizing the nonpartisan nature of the gathering.

Meanwhile, preparations for the president's visit have transformed the state capital, Awka, which now wears a festive and refreshed appearance in anticipation of the presidential activities.
