Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford continued his impressive form for Aston Villa, playing a key role in their 3-0 away victory against Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday night.

Having netted his first goals for the club during Villa’s FA Cup quarter-final victory over Preston at the weekend, Rashford was on the scoresheet once again, this time in the Premier League.

He opened the scoring in the 51st minute at the Amex Stadium, marking his first Premier League goal for Villa. Unai Emery’s side extended their lead with goals from Marco Asensio and Donyell Malen, securing a comfortable win.

Rashford’s Revival at Villa Park

Rashford departed United in January in search of a fresh start, and it appears he has rediscovered his best form at Villa Park.

Following the match, the England international took to social media to express his delight.

Posting images of himself scoring and celebrating on Instagram, he captioned them:

"Great win away! Let’s keep building."

His post was liked by several current United players, including Amad, Lisandro Martínez, Luke Shaw, and Godwill Kukonki, as well as former Red Devils David de Gea, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Donny van de Beek.

Unai Emery’s Message to Rashford

Villa have the option to make Rashford’s loan move permanent in the summer for £40 million, but Emery has made it clear that his focus remains on improvement.

"Keep going – that is the message for him," Emery stated.

"The more minutes he plays, the stronger he becomes physically, and he is scoring more goals.

"We are using him as a striker, competing with [Ollie] Watkins, but perhaps in the future, they could play together.

"We want to maximise his strengths – he is at his most confident right now.

"On Sunday, we planned to play him up front, and he scored twice. That convinced me to start him again – and he delivered once more."
