Carla Ward will lead her Republic of Ireland squad across the Atlantic in June for a pair of friendly matches against the United States.
Republic of Ireland to Face USA in Summer Double-Header

The Girls in Green will take on the world’s top-ranked team at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver on 26 June, before facing them again four days later at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati.
Ireland last played the USA in April 2023, as part of their preparations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. They suffered a 2-0 defeat at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, followed by a 1-0 loss at Energizer Park in St Louis, Missouri.
“We’re looking forward to these two matches against the best international team in women’s football, as they will provide the level of challenge our players need to experience more often,” said head coach Ward, who will announce her squad for the Nations League double-header against Greece on Tuesday morning.
“As we continue to develop our squad, these fixtures will give us the opportunity to implement our work in what will be two intense games that we can learn a great deal from.”
