The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his 38-year-old wife to death. The suspect confessed to the crime, and a blood-stained kitchen knife was recovered. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his 38-year-old wife to death. The Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Thursday in Lagos.
According to Hundeyin, detectives from the Morogbo Division received information about the tragic event and promptly proceeded to the scene.
He explained, “A team of detectives, while on surveillance township monitoring patrol at Oke-Ira, Ilogbo Eremi, received a report that a man had stabbed his wife to death. The team swiftly raced to the scene and apprehended the suspect. A kitchen knife stained with blood was recovered from him. He was brought to the station and interrogated accordingly.”
Hundeyin further stated that during questioning, the suspect confessed to committing the crime. He also confirmed that the woman's body had been taken to the morgue at Badagry General Hospital for preservation.
The case, according to Hundeyin, will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba for further investigation and necessary legal action.
