On Wednesday, President-elect Donald Trump announced the appointments of Matt Gaetz, a Republican Representative, and Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman, to serve as his attorney general and director of national intelligence, respectively.

Mr. Trump made the announcements via statements shared on Truth Social media ahead of his inauguration in January.
