Juventus made a triumphant return to the Champions League with a 3-1 victory over Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven. Two quick-fire goals from Kenan Yildiz and Weston McKennie in the first half set Juventus on course, while Nicolás González added a third before Ismael Saibari pulled one back for PSV in stoppage time.

Harry Kane broke Wayne Rooney's record for the most Champions League goals by an English player, scoring four times in Bayern Munich's 9-2 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb. Thomas Müller made his 152nd Champions League appearance for Bayern, breaking Xavi Hernandez's record for most appearances for a single club in the competition.

Sporting CP vs LOSC Lille (2-0)
