Jordyn Blum, the wife of Dave Grohl, has reportedly sought solace from her friend, Hollywood actress Kate Hudson, following the shocking revelation of the Foo Fighters frontman’s infidelity.

The 55-year-old rock icon admitted earlier this week that he had fathered a child with another woman, leaving fans in disbelief. In the midst of the turmoil, Jordyn, 48, is said to be relying on Hudson for emotional support in light of the news.

There is widespread speculation that Jordyn has engaged a divorce lawyer to consider her next steps, and it is reported by The Mirror that she is taking advice from Kate on how to manage the situation effectively. The Bride Wars actress is allegedly appalled by Dave’s behaviour.

A source told Mail Online: "Jordyn is receiving major support from one of her closest friends, Kate Hudson. She was shocked and disgusted that, at Dave’s age, he is still cheating – not only on Jordyn, but on their daughters as well."

Dave and Jordyn are parents to three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10. The insider added: "[Kate even sent] her a huge basket of balloons with personalised messages, including ‘Stay Strong’."

"Kate has told Jordyn she’s there for her 24/7 and not to hesitate to pick up the phone, even if it’s just for a good cry or if she needs her to come over for a hug and a heart-to-heart."

It is reported that Kate is more than willing to stay by her friend’s side. Although the two are rarely seen together in public, they are believed to share a strong bond, which is evident from their mutual follows on social media.

Grohl made the startling confession about his personal life on social media on Tuesday. In an attempt to repair his relationship with his wife, he admitted to infidelity and expressed his desire to rebuild trust within his family.

On Instagram, Grohl wrote: "I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside my marriage. I intend to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We are grateful for your understanding as we move forward together, especially considering all the children involved."

Despite facing criticism for his actions, Dave has received support from his ex-girlfriend from the early 1990s, Jennifer Finch. In a conversation with TMZ, Finch defended Dave, calling him a "top-tier dad and friend."

She claims to have witnessed his dedication to his family, having spent time with the Foo Fighters on tour this past summer.
