Eamonn Holmes and his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, have been seen at Barcelona port as they prepare for a luxury holiday in the sunshine together. The new couple were photographed at the Spanish port on Sunday, 8th September, following reports that they are embarking on a Mediterranean cruise together.

GB News presenter Eamonn, 64, was seen dressed in dark blue jeans and a navy jacket, while relationship counsellor Katie, 42, looked chic in beige tailored trousers and a striped cardigan, paired with high heels. The couple, who are believed to have grown close after Eamonn’s split from his wife Ruth Langsford earlier this year, were all smiles as they prepared for their romantic getaway.

Eamonn, who has struggled with ill health in recent years and spoken openly about his battles with chronic pain, was seen using an electric mobility aid at the port. Katie was seen walking behind him at one point, carrying some luggage. TV star Eamonn was also spotted greeting fans at the port.

Eamonn and Katie are thought to have started dating over recent months after becoming friends a few years ago. Eamonn parted ways with Loose Women’s Ruth earlier this year after more than two decades together. While the pair have not disclosed details about their split, they released a statement confirming their plans to divorce after over ten years of marriage. The couple first got together around 1997 and married in 2010.

Ruth has not commented on Eamonn's new relationship, and neither he nor Katie have publicly confirmed their romance. However, Katie's ex-partner, Michael, with whom she shares a son, has spoken out, seemingly confirming his ex’s new relationship.

Katie's former partner, Michael Devine, who was 59 when he met 19-year-old Katie, told Mail Online that their son Ben had informed him of Katie's new relationship with Eamonn. "Ben told me Eamonn and Katie were together, but he doesn’t say much; he’s more interested in kicking a football around," he said.

Eamonn and Katie first connected through social media in 2015 and have since been seen together at various events, including a trip to Ireland, a Beyoncé concert, and a Manchester United match. Katie has reportedly defended herself against accusations that she is a home-wrecker and is said to be "in it for the long haul."

According to The Mirror, Katie has been a pillar of strength for Eamonn since the breakdown of his marriage to Ruth. "She is helping Eamonn through the tough times but doesn’t want to be seen as a marriage wrecker," a source told the publication. "The friendship has grown in recent months, but Eamonn's marriage has been over for some time. She wants to support Eamonn through his situation, and their friendship has developed over time. She feels she will be close to him for a long period and is committed to this for the long haul."
