"Turkish Foreign Ministry Accuses Israeli PM Netanyahu of Spreading Falsehoods to Block Ceasefire Talks and Conceal Gaza Actions"

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of manipulating public opinion through falsehoods intended to obscure his actions in Gaza and impede ceasefire negotiations. Netanyahu has reiterated his refusal to withdraw Israeli troops from the Philadelphi Corridor, claiming that weapons are being smuggled to the Palestinian resistance group Hamas from across the Egyptian border.

In a statement issued on X on Wednesday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned Netanyahu's recent claims against Egypt, which he has used to justify maintaining the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor. The ministry emphasized its support for Egypt's efforts to mediate an end to the conflict in Gaza and to provide humanitarian aid to the millions of Palestinians affected.

Jordan, Qatar, Palestine, and Kuwait have also criticized Netanyahu’s accusations, labeling them as attempts to disrupt the mediation process aimed at resolving the Gaza conflict.

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, over 40,861 Palestinians have been killed and 94,398 wounded since Israel's military campaign began on October 7.
