Emrhys Cooper has reportedly resigned from Coronation Street after seven months.
Coronation Street Star 'Quits' After Causing Chaos - Already Has New Job

The 39-year-old actor arrived in Weatherfield earlier this year portraying the twisted cult leader Rowan Cunliffe. However, his stint in the ITV soap is reportedly coming to an end, and he "will be bidding farewell to the cobbles" at some point.
No specific end date for the character has been announced yet. However, Emrhys has already secured a role in a Christmas pantomime.
A source revealed that while Emrhys has been "a great addition" to the soap, playing an evil villain inherently means that "his story always had a beginning, a middle and an end," and he won't remain on the street indefinitely. Nonetheless, the drama is expected to escalate before his departure.
The Sun reported insights from an insider: "Rowan’s going to get even worse over the next few months, and the story’s nowhere near its ending just yet but he will be bidding farewell to the cobbles. The question is whether he gets his comeuppance or how many more lives he destroys before he leaves?"
Rowan has brought a significantly dark presence to the cobbles, with the charismatic cult leader manipulating Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and involving her in The Institute. Intense scenes depicted him tricking her into divulging her deepest secrets, which he then used for his own sinister agenda.
Additionally, he has blackmailed Nick (Ben Price) and Toyah (Georgia Taylor) over their affair, and has set his sights on Amy Barlow’s (Elle Mulvaney) inheritance.
However, Emrhys's next role appears to be considerably lighter, as he is set to star as Prince Frederick in a production of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs during the festive season. The pantomime will take place at St Helen's Theatre Royal in St Helens.
