Michael Olise has set his sights on winning silverware with Bayern Munich after completing his transfer from Crystal Palace for £45 million plus an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.

Olise has signed a five-year contract with the German giants, who count England captain Harry Kane among their ranks and are led by former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany.

The 22-year-old winger had been linked with a return to Chelsea, where he began in the academy, as well as a move to Manchester United. However, he opted to join the German club. Olise joined Palace from Reading in July 2021 and made 90 appearances for the Eagles, scoring 16 goals.

"The discussions with FC Bayern were very positive, and I'm thrilled to now represent such a prestigious club," Olise conveyed on his new team's website. "It's an exciting challenge, exactly what I was seeking. I aim to demonstrate my abilities at this level and contribute towards achieving multiple titles with our team in the upcoming years."

Palace chairman Steve Parish remarked, "We are immensely proud of Michael's accomplishments at Crystal Palace, where he has made significant strides as a player. We respect his aspiration to further test himself at the highest echelon of global football, and I personally extend my best wishes for his next chapter with Bayern Munich in Germany, which I'm sure we will all closely follow."
