Charlene White, known for her role on 'Loose Women', has made a public plea for support after her ITV News co-star, Rageh Omaar, fell ill. The nature and severity of Rageh Omaar's illness are not specified in the headline, but Charlene White's appeal indicates concern for her colleague's well-being.

Loose Women stars Charlene White and Denise Welch have expressed their frustration over the sharing of a clip showing ITV newsreader Rageh Omaar falling ill live on TV.

During a report towards the end of the news programme on Friday, the 56-year-old presenter began to struggle noticeably with his words. Shortly after the show, Rageh was rushed to the hospital where he received immediate treatment. While the nature of his illness remains unconfirmed, experts suspect it may have been an early sign of a mini-stroke, known as a transient ischaemic attack (TIA).

Charlene White took issue with the widespread sharing of the video showing Rageh's distress, criticizing those who made assumptions before any medical details were reported. In a post on Instagram and Twitter (formerly known as X), Charlene wrote: "How about everyone stops posting and re-posting a video of a man becoming unwell live on TV. Who does that benefit? Sometimes real life isn't just about upping your engagement figures and likes."

Denise Welch, another panelist on Loose Women, echoed Charlene's sentiments, commenting on her post with frustration over the situation.

Responding to concerns about ITV's handling of the situation, an ITV News source explained that producers attempted to replace Rageh once they realized there was a problem. However, Rageh insisted on staying to finish delivering the news despite their efforts to intervene. Eventually, medical assistance was called, and Rageh was encouraged to seek treatment.

Rageh was discharged the following day and is now recovering at home with his family. The condition he experienced, TIA, is caused by a temporary disruption in blood supply to the brain.

Fiona Clark, a staff nurse, reported contacting ITV during the incident, urging for emergency medical assistance for Rageh due to his symptoms indicative of a stroke.
