Singer Robert Mizzell Ventures into Hospitality with Airbnb Cabin for Tranquil Holiday Retreats

Country music artist Robert Mizzell has been balancing a bustling performing and recording career with a lively family life, navigating fatherhood to two young children.

The "Say You Love Me" singer is relishing his new role as a grandfather after his adult daughter Amy (30), from his previous marriage, welcomed granddaughter Lainey into the family last November.

Robert, who is also a father to Maisie (9) and Leo (5) with his wife Adele, feels deeply grateful to be surrounded by young children, describing his grandchild as "the icing on the cake."

In addition to his music pursuits, Robert is looking ahead by launching a new venture into hospitality with an Airbnb business called Little Rock Retreat. This venture features a newly-built log cabin with a hot tub on his rural property in Ballinagore, Co. Westmeath.

Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Robert has made Ireland his home for over 30 years. He is poised for potential success with an upcoming original song titled "It’s All About The GAA," featuring Irish singer Louise Morrissey, which is expected to be one of his career's biggest hits.

Speaking about the song, Robert explained, "I felt I couldn’t sing the song myself because I’m not Irish... Louise is a good country woman from Tipperary and would have grown up with the GAA in her life."

Robert's journey to Ireland began when he met his first wife, Elaine, in America. He followed her to Ireland, where they married and had their daughter, Amy. Despite their marriage not working out, Robert has remained an active part of Amy's life.

Now embracing his role as a grandfather, Robert cherishes spending time with Amy, her husband Conor, and their new baby Lainey. Reflecting on his new Airbnb venture, Robert shared, "As I’m getting older, I’m wondering how far the music industry can take me. I’m self-employed, so I’m setting this up as a kind of pension."

Describing the charm of his Airbnb property, Robert emphasized its unique appeal, nestled in the tranquil countryside near Mullingar. Bookings for Little Rock Retreat are now open via email through the property's Facebook page.
