Hegarty Praises Limerick's Depth of Talent

Gearoid Hegarty attributes Limerick's remarkable Munster SHC comeback win over Clare to their depth of talent.

Rookies Donnacha Ó Dalaigh, Conor Boylan, and Adam English showcased their skills as the five-time All-Ireland champions surged to victory at a packed Cusack Park.

"There's fierce competition for spots throughout the team, which is one of our biggest strengths. We have a solid panel," Hegarty stated in an interview with RTÉ.

"Players know they can't afford to let their guard down or slack off, or they'll find themselves on the bench. It's about consistently proving yourself to earn that starting jersey."

The towering forward emphasized, "While it was a thrilling day in the historic Limerick-Clare rivalry, what mattered most was putting points on the board.

"It's a huge confidence boost for the squad, especially seeing the impact of the substitutes. When we faced challenges, they stepped up and turned the game around, lifting us out of tough situations."
