Faith Ladies triumphed in a gripping contest, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Jonina Ladies in extra time to lift the Women’s FA Cup.

The match started cautiously, with both sides probing for openings. Faith Ladies’ Anastasia Bansah was shown a yellow card in the eighth minute for a reckless challenge. Jonina Ladies made an early tactical change in the 41st minute, bringing on Lordina Osei in place of Abigail Bosu. Despite several half-chances, neither team managed to break the deadlock, and the first half concluded goalless.

The second half mirrored the first, with both teams struggling to fashion clear-cut opportunities. After 90 minutes, the score remained 0-0, sending the final into extra time.

Extra time saw the match come alive. Jonina Ladies’ Joyce Atimbila broke the deadlock in the 97th minute, only for Faith Ladies’ Erica Obeng Apreku to equalise a minute later. Apreku then struck again in the 112th minute, putting Faith Ladies ahead 2-1. Although Jonina Ladies pushed for a late equaliser, Faith Ladies held firm to secure a historic triumph.
