Jamie Vardy will make his final appearance for Leicester City on Sunday, bringing an end to a remarkable 13-year spell at the club.
Vardy Set for Final Leicester Appearance on Sunday

The Foxes have confirmed that Vardy’s 500th game, when they host already-relegated Ipswich Town at the King Power Stadium, will be his farewell match. The veteran striker, who is currently on 199 goals for Leicester, will be aiming to reach a landmark 200th goal in his final outing.
It was revealed last month that Vardy would depart at the end of his current contract, concluding a glittering chapter in Leicester’s history.
The club has planned a series of tributes to honour the 38-year-old’s legacy, urging supporters to arrive early and remain after the final whistle to pay their respects to one of the most iconic players in Leicester’s history.
The decision was made to ensure Vardy’s final appearance would take place at home, rather than away at Bournemouth in the final match of the campaign.
Signed from non-league Fleetwood Town in 2012 for a fee of £1 million, Vardy has since become Leicester’s all-time leading Premier League scorer with 144 goals. In total, he has netted 199 goals in 499 appearances across all competitions.
Vardy played a pivotal role in Leicester’s historic 2015/16 Premier League title triumph, scoring 24 goals during that unforgettable campaign. He also helped the club reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League the following season.
Further success followed in 2021 when Vardy lifted the FA Cup as Leicester defeated Chelsea to win the competition for the first time in their history.
Despite scoring nine times this season, the striker was unable to help prevent Leicester’s relegation back to the Championship.
Vardy’s contribution, however, remains indelible – a legacy that will be celebrated one final time on home soil this Sunday.
