Lazio have issued a stern statement threatening legal action against former eagle handler Juan Bernabé, as an increasingly bizarre and bitter feud took yet another dramatic turn.

The controversy began in January 2025, when Bernabé—who had served for many years as the falconer responsible for club mascot Olympia—posted explicit images on social media displaying the results of his penile implant surgery. The content was deemed highly inappropriate and embarrassing by the club, which led to his immediate dismissal.

However, following his sacking, Bernabé reportedly refused to vacate his accommodation at the club's Formello training centre, claiming medical advice prevented him from moving during his recovery. Reports suggest he even barricaded himself inside the premises.

Falconer Scandal Escalates Amid New Allegations

The legal battle over his dismissal has continued for months. Most recently, Bernabé posted a video on social media in which he alleged that the real reason for his termination was not the controversial images, but rather his knowledge of alleged misconduct involving minors at both the Formello training facility and during the club’s summer camp in Auronzo di Cadore.

He also shared a brief clip that he claims was secretly recorded, supposedly capturing a conversation with club director Angelo Maria Fabbiani concerning the alleged incidents.

Lazio Respond with Legal Threats

In response, Lazio swiftly released an official statement denying the claims and vowing to take legal action to protect the club’s reputation.

They stated that the accusations—made by "a former collaborator who had even illegally occupied club property at Formello"—were "entirely baseless and an unjust attack on the honour of S.S. Lazio."

The statement further questioned whether the timing of these videos—particularly one involving a phone conversation with club president Claudio Lotito—was part of a deliberate attempt to "destabilise the Biancocelesti during a crucial phase of the season."
