Daniel Farke has admitted he was "too exhausted to celebrate" after remaining seated on the bench while Leeds United secured the Championship title on Saturday.
Daniel Farke Explains Why He Remained Seated as Leeds United Clinched Championship Title

Going into the final day of the season, both Leeds and Burnley were level on 97 points, with Farke’s side holding the advantage on goal difference.
Burnley looked set to clinch the title as they led 3–1 at home against Millwall, while Leeds were being held away at Plymouth Argyle.
However, a dramatic stoppage-time winner from Manor Solomon sealed a 1–0 victory for Leeds, propelling them to 100 points and promotion to the Premier League as champions.
Amid the jubilant scenes that followed, Farke was spotted sitting quietly in the dugout, prompting concern among fans that the 48-year-old might be dismissed before the club’s top-flight return.
Addressing his subdued reaction after the final whistle, Farke—who has now won the Championship title three times, having previously done so twice with Norwich City—said he felt "empty" after a long and emotional campaign.
"I was so focussed on achieving promotion, but to be honest, I was also quite greedy for the title in recent weeks," said Farke.
"We had spoken about how the only time we previously won this title was without supporters present. I wanted this so badly.
"I felt empty at the final whistle. I was simply too tired to celebrate. Even at half-time it was difficult, as I wanted to deliver the right message. I’m proud that we accomplished what we set out to achieve.
"I’m just looking forward to sitting on the coach home and closing my eyes. I need to recharge so I can properly celebrate this evening. Next week will be for celebrating. I’ll need the summer to recover my energy."
Meanwhile, Manor Solomon, whose loan from Tottenham Hotspur has now concluded, admitted he is uncertain about his future.
"I can’t put into words how I feel right now. It’s a dream come true to score the winning goal and help us secure the Championship," Solomon told BBC Radio Leeds.
"Throughout the season, we’ve shown we deserve this trophy and to finish top. I’m so glad it ended this way.
"We were aware of what was happening in Burnley’s match, and we knew we had to score. It paid off—the ball went in. It’ll take me a few days to fully digest what’s happened today, but for now, I’m going to celebrate.
"I want to celebrate with my partner, with the club’s staff—we all deserve it. I’ve been fully focussed on this season. In the next two or three days, we’ll have discussions and see what the future holds. I don’t know what’s next, but I can honestly say I love this club."
