Barcelona boss Hansi Flick and Real Mallorca manager Jagoba Arrasate were both left in awe of Pedri’s performance during Tuesday night’s 1–0 La Liga win at the Olympic Stadium.
Flick and Arrasate Full of Admiration for Pedri Following Barcelona’s Victory Over Mallorca

While Dani Olmo netted the decisive goal for the hosts, it was Pedri who stole the spotlight—earning the MVP accolade after delivering yet another standout display in midfield.
Arrasate was effusive in his admiration for the young Canary Islander, admitting that talents of Pedri’s calibre are a rare sight.
“When you watch Pedri… He’s brilliant on television, but facing him on the pitch is something else entirely. He’s operating at an incredible level,” Arrasate told reporters.
“I’ve not seen a midfielder like him in a very long time.”
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was similarly impressed, hailing the 21-year-old’s all-round contribution to the team.
“It’s difficult to define Pedri’s limits—he’s playing at the peak of his powers right now,” Flick stated.
“His quality on the ball is exceptional, but what’s equally impressive is his work without it. He contributes enormously to our defensive structure. Everyone knows how special he is.”
The victory extends Barça’s lead at the summit of La Liga to seven points, with just five matches remaining in the campaign.
