RG Snyman has committed to Leinster for another season after signing a one-year contract extension with the province.
RG Snyman Extends Leinster Stay with New One-Year Deal

The two-time Rugby World Cup winner has been a hugely popular addition since joining from Munster last summer, making 14 appearances across the BKT United Rugby Championship (URC) and Investec Champions Cup, scoring four tries.
Initially expected to spend just one season at Leinster, Snyman has now been granted permission to remain for another year, with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) satisfied that his presence will not hinder the development of Leinster’s emerging second-row talents.
It is understood that specific conditions have been outlined in the 30-year-old’s contract, including restrictions on when he can be selected. To date, Snyman has been named among the replacements for all four Champions Cup pool matches.
The Springbok lock had previously expressed his desire to extend his stay in Ireland, having settled well in the country since his move to Munster in 2020.
His time at Leinster has been a stark contrast to his injury-plagued four-year spell at Munster, where he endured two ACL ruptures and managed just 20 appearances. In comparison, he has already featured 14 times in his debut season for Leinster.
Snyman is the second of Leinster’s major summer signings to commit to the province for another season, following veteran tighthead prop Rabah Slimani, who also recently signed a contract extension.
