AC Milan narrowly avoided defeat in the Italian Serie A derby against Inter Milan on Sunday, as their city rivals secured a late 1-1 draw.

Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders gave the Rossoneri the lead in the 45th minute at the San Siro Stadium. However, Inter’s Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij salvaged a point for his side with a dramatic equaliser in the 93rd minute.

Inter Milan remain second in the standings with 51 points, just two points behind league leaders Napoli, while AC Milan sit eighth with 35 points.
