The TalkTV Hosted Debate Was Abruptly Terminated Mid Show As McCann Is Rushed To Hospital

The high profile and much anticipated debate between the former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, and the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, Liz Truss, hosted by TalkTV was abruptly ended sooner than anyone expected after the hostess fainted live on air.

The journalist Kate McCann had stood guard for half the debate's runtime as Truss and Sunak debated tax reform and National Insurance, before collapsing from her standing podium.

The incident played out live as millions of viewers tuned in to watch the debate between two Tory head honchos aiming for Number 10, with Liz Truss's reaction to McCann fainting captured for all to see.

After McCann fainted on air, TalkTV managers along with Sunak and Truss decided to end the debate and have a rematch in the future.

McCann has been rushed to hospital, she's reported to be in stable condition though the cause of her faint is currently unknown.
