"We aimed to highlight green and connect it to the overall theme of the Garden of Time," La' Pearl tells Allure of Cardi's eye makeup, which features a strikingly glowing lower liner in a vibrant green. "To bring this colour to life in the beauty look, we chose emerald contacts and emerald-tone shadows from the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Utopia palette. We added a classic wing for a glamorous yet soft makeup style."

Although her eyes are attracting a lot of attention, La' Pearl ensured every aspect of her makeup looked flawless. "In addition to the eyes, we focused on a new blush technique," she says, referring to a highly pigmented blush. "For this particular look, we incorporated more than usual and carefully smudged and blended it out for a more dramatic effect."

Cardi's nails are also embracing the green, with extra-long, square-shaped tips featuring diagonal green accents. And as for her hair? Well, it's not green — that would have been incredible — but it's still stunning with its sleek, super-long appearance.

"I love collaborating with Cardi because her looks are always evolving. Cardi is very involved in the decision-making process," La' Pearl says. However, despite this amazing result, she suggests it may not have been what they originally planned. "Sometimes you have to rethink just before it's time to get ready!"
