Ice Spice Set to Collaborate on Remix of Viral Cash Cobain Hit 'Fisherrr

Ice Spice has contributed a verse to the much-anticipated remix of Cash Cobain's viral track "Fisherrr" after a snippet of her vocals surfaced online.

Originally released in February by New York rapper-producer Cobain featuring Bay Swag, "Fisherrr" quickly gained traction on TikTok, spawning the popular "Reemski" dance craze.

This week, DJ Akademiks shared on X/Twitter that he had received Ice Spice's verse for the remix of "Fisherrr." In the clip he posted, the "Gangsta Boo" star can be heard delivering bars such as: "Got an attitude, but I’m feeling lit so I ain’t mad at 'cho / And I’m tatted too, it’s the fattest too, I’m your baddest boo."

Accompanying the announcement, DJ Akademiks revealed the single's artwork, featuring a Betty Boop-inspired illustration of the 24-year-old artist holding up a phone with the message "Play 'Fisherrr' remix."

Recently, footage emerged of the Bronx rapper shooting the music video for the remix, where she sported her trademark orange hair and an all-pink ensemble, including a furry coat reminiscent of Cam’ron's iconic 2002 Baby Phat fashion show attire.

Ice Spice's collaboration with Cash Cobain marks her second release of the year, following the teaser of her upcoming track "Think U The Shit (Fart)" shared on Instagram in January.

During her debut Coachella performance last weekend, Ice Spice debuted another new song, tapping into New York's sample drill trend by remixing Sean Paul's "Gimme The Light."

Anticipated for release sometime this year, Ice Spice's debut album, "Y2K," is highly awaited. In an interview on the YouTube show Hot Ones, she expressed her meticulous approach to her music, ensuring each track meets her standards before release.

Meanwhile, Cash Cobain, known for his production prowess and rap skills, released his fifth LP, "Pretty Girls Love Slizzy," in 2023. Discussing his career ambitions with NME last December, Cobain expressed confidence in his ability to make a significant impact in the industry.

The "Fisherrr" remix is set to drop soon via Giant Music and 10K Projects.

In additional news, Ice Spice recently made a surprise appearance at PinkPantheress' show in New York, where they performed their Billboard-charting hit "Boy's A Liar Pt. 2" together. Additionally, she is slated to make her acting debut in the Spike Lee-directed film "High And Low," starring alongside Denzel Washington.
