Youjoung Opens Up About Leaving BBGirls: "My Presence Will Always Remain"

Former BBGirls member Youjoung has addressed her departure from the K-pop girl group in a recent Instagram post, describing it as "sudden."

The announcement of Youjoung's exit came earlier this week, shortly after BBGirls parted ways with Warner Music Korea. The group then established their own label, BBGirls Company.

Youjoung took to Instagram to explain her decision, stating, "I've chosen to pursue my endeavors in the industry not as a part of BBGirls, but under my own name, Nam You-joung, following the conclusion of our contract with Warner Music Korea," according to SBS Star.

She revealed that her decision had been heavily contemplated, filled with fears and worries, but emphasized her determination to move forward alone.

Despite her departure, Youjoung expressed her continued support for BBGirls' remaining members, Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna, stating, "I'll always be here, so don't worry. I'm truly, truly grateful for everything. I love you all."

Youjoung initially joined BBGirls, formerly known as Brave Girls, in 2016. The group underwent a name change in early 2023 after parting ways with their longtime agency, Brave Entertainment. Their last release, the single album 'One More Time,' came out in August 2023.
