Former Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe is set to stand trial after pleading not guilty to a charge of assaulting a woman.

The 30-year-old appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, where he denied a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The court heard that the alleged incident took place in Lambeth, south London, on 14 December.

Ibe, who made 41 appearances for Liverpool before later spells with Derby County, Birmingham City and AFC Bournemouth, was informed that his trial will take place at the same court on 14 July.

During the brief 13-minute hearing, Ibe, who resides in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley, south-east London, was released on conditional bail and ordered to return for the trial.

The Metropolitan Police previously confirmed that Ibe was arrested at Luton Airport on 30 January. He was subsequently charged last month.

The former England Under-21 international currently plays for Lokomotiv Sofia in the Bulgarian First League, the country’s top division.

Ibe joined Liverpool in 2012 and went on to make 58 appearances for the club across all competitions.

He later made 92 appearances for Bournemouth between 2016 and 2020, scoring five goals and providing nine assists during his time with the south coast side.

Over the past two years, Ibe had been playing non-league football before securing a move to the Bulgarian capital club in November 2025.
