Armando Broja has departed his boyhood club Chelsea to join newly-promoted Burnley on a five-year deal, the club announced on Friday.
Chelsea’s Broja Completes Move to Burnley on Five-Year Contract

While the transfer fee was not officially disclosed, British media reports indicate that Burnley will pay Premier League rivals Chelsea an initial £10 million, with a potential additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Broja first joined Chelsea from Tottenham Hotspur at the age of eight in 2009, progressing through the Blues’ academy system to the first team, where he made 38 appearances and scored nine goals.
The English-born striker, who represents Albania at international level through his parents’ heritage, has spent several spells away from Stamford Bridge on loan — most recently at Everton last season. The Toffees ultimately opted against making the move permanent.
With Chelsea investing heavily in attacking reinforcements, including Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, Broja has now opted for a fresh start at Turf Moor.
The 23-year-old, who has also represented Southampton and Fulham in the Premier League, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement:
“I am really excited to be here as a Burnley player. It’s a really positive time to be joining this club ahead of the start of the new Premier League season. I can’t wait to get going.
I’m feeling good, I’m ready, and I’m excited about the challenge of playing for this club. I can tell you all that I will be giving my all every time I pull on the famous claret shirt.”
Burnley have also strengthened their squad during the summer by signing Bashir Humphreys and Lesley Ugochukwu as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
