Bayern Munich have confirmed plans for their pre-season preparations, announcing that the tenth edition of the Audi Summer Tour will take place across Asia, where the Bundesliga champions are set to play two friendly matches in August.

The German giants will travel to the region between 1 and 8 August, with fixtures scheduled in South Korea and Hong Kong as part of their continued global outreach.

Their first encounter will see Bayern face Jeju SK at the Jeju World Cup Stadium on 4 August. Located on Jeju Island, just off the southern coast of mainland South Korea, the venue previously hosted matches during the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Jeju SK currently compete in the top flight of South Korean football, the K League 1.

Bayern’s second fixture will take place in Hong Kong, where they are set to meet English side Aston Villa on 7 August. The match will be held at Kai Tak Stadium, the newly constructed home of the Hong Kong national team, which was completed in 2024.

Speaking ahead of the tour, Bayern board member Rouven Kasper highlighted the significance of the milestone. He noted that the tenth edition of the Audi Summer Tour represents more than just a number, symbolising momentum, direction, and progress. Kasper also emphasised the importance of international engagement in driving the development of German football, adding that Bayern have long been at the forefront of such efforts. He further revealed that the club boasts a global following of around one billion people, with approximately half of that fanbase based in Asia.

This year’s visit marks Bayern’s third pre-season tour involving Asian fixtures in the past four years, underlining the club’s strong connection with the region. It will also be their second time playing matches in both South Korea and Hong Kong. Their previous visit to South Korea took place in Seoul two years ago, while their first-ever fixture in Hong Kong dates back to 2007 during their inaugural tour of Asia.

Over the past two decades, Bayern Munich have consistently expanded their global footprint, with pre-season matches played across countries such as India, China, Singapore, and Japan.
