Nine people have been hospitalised following a shooting near England’s World Cup training base in Kansas City, Missouri.

Police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 4:00am CDT (10:00am BST) on Saturday along Troost Avenue, an area situated close to the training facilities and hotel accommodation England are expected to use during the tournament.
Authorities confirmed that all nine victims sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Kansas City Police Department captain Jake Becchina told The Athletic that officers arrived at the scene to find a large crowd dispersing.
According to police, three women were among those injured and transported to hospital. A further six adults also attended local medical facilities with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
No arrests have been made at this stage and investigations remain ongoing.
Police officers continue to patrol the surrounding area as enquiries progress.
England’s players and coaching staff are currently based in Palm Beach, Florida, where preparations for the World Cup are continuing.
The team is scheduled to travel to Kansas City on Saturday before opening its World Cup campaign against Croatia on 17 June.
England will then continue their Group L fixtures against Ghana and Panama as they begin their bid for international success.
At present, there has been no indication that England’s preparations or accommodation plans will be altered following the incident.
